Luis Alvarado Martinez

Luis is the new Chief Executive Officer of TPC’s new venture philanthropy meets capital orchestration platform – NO.17 Foundation, aimed at building markets and ecosystems, building capital stacks and innovative financial vehicles and impact strategies ultimately to allow innovations and regenerative building models to flourish. He joins TPC after having worked at the World Economic Forum, where he set up GAEA (Giving to Amplify Earth Action) initiative – a global platform with 150+ leading organizations with an aggregated $200B of catalytic capital, convening, incubating and scaling new and existing public, private and philanthropic partnerships (4Ps) co-chaired by HM Queen Rania of Jordan, Bridgewater Associate’s Ray Dalio, Princess Beatrice of York, Actress Michelle Yeoh, Canadian PM Mark Carney and WEF founder Prof. Klaus Schwab.

Before that he was part of setting up the Mission Possible Partnership, catalyzing global movements of corporates to accelerate the decarbonization across the hard-to-abate sectors.

Luis is a Millennium Leadership Fellow at the Atlantic Council in Washington DC, and his work has been recognized by the Obama Foundation Leaders program, the European Parliament and the Schwarzkopf Foundation in Berlin among others. He is Trustee at National Park City Foundation.

He has previously had roles at UK Government, Spanish Parliament, the Rockefeller Foundation’s 100 Resilient Cities initiative and has help several elected roles in Brussels in the context of the EU and Council of Europe frameworks.

He is a Master graduate in Sustainability Leadership at the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (University of Cambridge) and is a post graduate on EU Political & Public Administration from the College of Europe in Bruges.
