Dr. Andrew Jones is a chemical engineer, inventor, and entrepreneur known for his work in energy and environmental sustainability. He is the CEO and Co-Founder of Carba, a carbon dioxide removal (CDR) company, and the Founder of Activated Research Company (ARC), which specializes in advanced analytical technology for scientific research. In 2021, Andrew co-founded Carba to address climate change through large-scale carbon dioxide removal. Carba's technology captures atmospheric CO2 and stores it underground as solid carbon. Andrew has received numerous awards, including the Astronaut Scholarship, the 35 and Under Young Entrepreneur Award, and the MN Cup Energy/Clean Tech Winner. He holds five patents and is committed to innovation and sustainability. He holds degrees in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, and earned his Ph.D. in chemical engineering from UC Berkeley.
