Tharald Nustad

Tharald Nustad is a Norwegian serial tech entrepreneur, impact investor and philanthropist. His main goal is mobilizing capital, tech and people towards a thriving future. Tharald has set up the Katapult Foundation as a nonprofit to incubate projects to move the world to a better place, and to build the ecosystem and educate around impact investing and technology for a positive future. Through Katapult Foundation he has co-founded TWIST (investing for system change) and Coalition for Impact, amongst other projects. Tharald is co-founder Katapult Future Fest – an event focusing on technology, impact investing and a better future society, Katapult Accelerator – a leading startup accelerator for impact tech companies, and Katapult Ocean – a leading player focused on Ocean impact tech ecosystem. Through these investment vehicles he has invested in more than 200 impact tech startups and 10 impact funds. Katapult has been actively investing in impact tech startups and building the ecosystem in Africa . Tharald is engaged in building the impact investing ecosystem globally, and is an active player in the startup scene. He supports Ashoka helping social entrepreneurs, is an active member of the Toniic 100% network, a global impact investor network, and has been actively engaged in Nexus Global. He has also collaborated and supported CSP at University of Zurich on helping get more education around impact investing and system change.
