Dr. Binbin Wang is Associate Dean and Research Professor at Peking University's Institute of Carbon Neutrality, and Founder of the Climate Future Global Innovation Lab (C Force Lab). She is the first Chinese author to publish an English monograph on climate governance with Springer Nature and has been engaged in UN climate negotiations since 2009. She served as Special Advisor to the UN Secretary-General's Office, Executive Secretary of the Global Alliance of Universities on Climate, and Director of the Special Fund established by China's first Climate Envoy, Xie Zhenhua.
Dr. Wang's work has evolved from climate action to a deeper question: why do financial and technological tools alone fail to reverse ecological breakdown? A 2023 conversation with Mary Evelyn Tucker at Yale on "Tian-ren-he-yi" shifted her focus from policy to civilizational thinking. She founded C Force Lab (2024) — a platform built on curiosity, courage, and compassion — launched the "Ancient Wisdom for Modern Challenges" global dialogue at UN Geneva (2025), and co-proposed the "Civilization-based Solutions" (CbS) framework (2026). She is the recipient of the National Geographic "Wayfinder" Award this June.
