We've taught people to become more resilient. But what if resilience becomes a way for systems to avoid changing? Who should carry the load, and how do we decide where responsibility belongs?
We have taught people to manage their stress: to breathe, to reframe, to stay resilient. But there is a limit to how much of a broken system any one nervous system can absorb, and someone always pays the gap between what the work demands and what the organisation actually supports.
This panel names that person. It asks the uncomfortable question underneath every wellbeing budget: when we tell people to regulate themselves, are we building their capacity or quietly transferring a cost that was ours to carry?
Where does your load end, and someone else's begin?
