Leadership is rarely earned through reflection. It's inherited, appointed, or accumulated long before anyone asks which values are actually driving the decisions made from it. Most people who hold real influence over capital, institutions, or people can point to the moment they took on that responsibility. Far fewer can point to the moment they did the work of becoming someone capable of holding it well.
This panel opens that gap. It draws out what actually happens in the space between inheriting a position of leadership and growing into one, the pressure that exposes it, the discomfort that forces the question, and what changes once someone stops leading from duty or habit and starts leading from something they've actually examined.
It exists to make a case the room will then be asked to test on itself: that this inner work isn't a soft addition to leadership, but the infrastructure everything else, governance, capital decisions, culture, quietly depends on. The panel names the problem in public, in the words of people who have lived it. What follows gives the room the space to do something about it, rather than just agree that it matters.
