What should business education be teaching that it is not? This structured conversation features practitioners who have reformed educational institutions and business leaders who have experienced the gap between their education and what the present moment requires. The session is a design lab to produce a shared capability statement and an honest assessment of the institutional conditions required to make these changes possible.
The format moves through three stages:
The Gap: Panellists name the personal gaps they have encountered between their formation and what their work actually required.
The Dialogue: Cross-panel dialogue surfaces where practitioners agree, where they diverge, and what these disagreements reveal.
The Floor: Room participants contribute lived gaps, successful precedents, and structural conditions they would change.
For example, a business school director might note graduates optimize balance sheets without knowing why, while a leader responds that they now hire from humanities programs instead. By the close, the room surfaces unknown, successful precedents.
Partcipants leave with a collaboratively produced capability statement for business education in the Well-being Economy, a curated set of existing programmes already cultivating these capacities, and an assessment of structural conditions needed to make this the norm.
