Somewhere, often by accident, business education is already forming the leaders the era needs. Where is it happening, and what would it take to do it purposefully?
The conventional account of business education is a story of absence, a catalogue of what it fails to teach. This session begins from the opposite end: the real instances, inside and outside formal institutions, where ethical, relational, and systemic leadership capacity is already being cultivated, sometimes in the margins of programmes designed for something else entirely. It is a structured conversation between practitioners who have led, reformed, or invented learning environments, and business leaders who can name precisely which of their own capacities were formed, and where.
From this evidence the panel builds rather than critiques: a positive statement of the capacities business education must cultivate, grounded in working examples. Structural barriers enter as the final movement, what stands between these working examples and their becoming the norm, framed as the agenda for building rather than as a closing complaint.
The session produces three things: a collaborative capability statement for business education in the Well-being Economy, anchored in real precedents; a curated set of programmes and practices already cultivating them, the field made visible to itself; and an assessment of the structural conditions required to make these the norm rather than the exception.
