Wei Mei Hum is the Head of Asia at the Carbon Trust, where she leads the organisation’s regional strategy and business development work across Asia. An economist by training, she brings extensive experience in energy policy, carbon markets, emissions trading systems and international climate mechanisms.
Her background spans key roles in Singapore’s Energy Market Authority, where she worked on power sector policy and renewables integration, and the Prime Minister’s Office, National Climate Change Secretariat, where she contributed to the development carbon pricing mechanisms and international climate policy frameworks. Prior to joining the Carbon Trust, Wei Mei served as Head of APAC at AirCarbon Exchange, leading the development of blockchain based carbon market infrastructure to enhance transparency, integrity and efficiency in carbon trading across the region. She has deep expertise in compliance and voluntary carbon markets, ETS, Article 6 implementation and market-based decarbonisation instruments. Her expertise integrates technical, regulatory and market perspectives to accelerate robust, economically grounded climate action in the region.
