Michael Zhu is a fourth-generation descendant of a distinguished Chinese lineage. His career centres on two interlocking roles: managing complex private market investments for his family office Accathon Capital and building the Asian Family Legacy Foundation as a structured platform for intergenerational wealth and legacy dialogue across Asia. He holds dual MBAs from Columbia Business School and London Business School.
His investment focus at Accathon Capital is cross-border private market investments with an emphasis on cross-cultural and intergenerational dimensions of wealth. Alongside this he manages the Zhu Family Museum, which houses a multigenerational collection of art and antiques spanning from 150 million years old to 5,000-year-old artefacts — one of the more substantial private collections in the Chinese diaspora context.
He is a member of the Asia Society's Asia 21 Next Generation Fellows programme and the Milken Institute's Young Leaders Circle, placing him firmly within the next-generation wealth and leadership network in the Asia-Pacific region. He also actively supports Tony Robbins’s 100 Billion Meals Challenge, reflecting a stated commitment to global hunger eradication alongside his arts and education philanthropy.
