Tan Mae Shen founded Sailing Sherpa to journey with intergenerational families to clarify and articulate their purpose of wealth, organise and construct portfolios to achieve goals from growing, guarding to giving. Her expertise spans: strategic asset allocation, portfolio construction, asset location strategy, family office set up & governance, family governance, and next generation engagement. Mae Shen brings over 25 years of experience managing complex wealth for family offices. She was founding Head, CIO and Investment Committee member of Dalio Family Office (Singapore); family advisory board member & investment committee member (Middle Eastern family); CIO (Asian American family); family office and family governance specialist with Credit Suisse (Singapore, Hong Kong); and multi-asset portfolio manager and investments specialist with J.P. Morgan (Singapore, New York). Mae Shen currently serves on Investment Committees for HCA Hospice and Blue Abadi Fund, and as independent director for River Delta Global Frontier Fund. She also teaches the Wealth Management Institute Certificate in Philanthropy in Wealth and Legacy Planning. She graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a Master in Professional Accounting, Bachelor of Business Administration, Business Honors Program, and Bachelor of Arts, Drama. Mae Shen is a CFA® and CAIA charter holder.
