Lawrence Chong is the Group CEO of Consulus, a global faith-aligned impact investment and creative change firm founded in Singapore since 2004. He is on a mission to realise a Multifaith Economy of Communion by getting faith-based investors to collaborate to establish micro-economies of communion to counter the funding crisis faced by social enterprises and non-profits. Together with Dr Brian Grim from the Religious Freedom and Business Foundation in Washington and the FoRB Foundation of the UK, Consulus will launch the world’s first Multifaith Economy Index and Mark at Lambeth Palace in London on 15th October with a pioneer group of faith-aligned institutions and networks.
He is a two-time TEDx speaker and author of two books: Creative Change and Creative Change Leadership. Since 2020 he was appointed by Pope Francis and then reappointed by Pope Leo XIV in 2025 to serve on the Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue. He is also a 2024 King Husein Global Business and Intercultural Peace Awardee.
Lawrence Chong co-moderates Consulus Global Network, now a global network spanning Americas, Africa, Asia and Europe consisting of changemaker organisations that include impact investment, listed companies, social enterprises and foundations, all committed to realising a viable and measurable impact model of the Economy of Communion, an economic theory launched by UNESCO Peace Prize Winner, Chiara Lubich in 1991.
A global keynote speaker, he has spoken at conferences such as Fortune’s Innovation by Design, World Marketing Summit, and TEDx, and in 30 cities such as Sao Paolo and Melbourne on innovation, business design, and the Economy of Communion.
