Biography

Kristina Gweneth Simundo is Projects and Communications Assistant for South East Asia. She is building a career in justice-based work, focused on the intersections between climate change and marginal identities of gender, race, class and sexuality, and on how intra-regional and global solidarity can be practised in response to the climate crisis. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Yale-NUS College, where she majored in Environmental Studies with a specialisation in environmental justice theory and policy making. Her work has centred on environmental and social issues in Southeast Asia and beyond, from a 4 month programme across San Francisco, Morocco, Nepal and Ecuador to tackling the transboundary haze crisis and working on ocean conservation with NGOs, governments, scientists and creatives in Singapore. She also founded Go With the Flow, an NGO improving access to menstrual healthcare for low-income communities in Singapore. At Forum for the Future, she is excited to support collaboration and co-creation towards an environmentally just and regenerative future.
