Kate Goldman-Toomey is Executive Director of Partnerships at Open Planet and a passionate advocate of partnerships and storytelling to drive change. Working at the intersection of filmmaking, philanthropy, impact and collaboration, Kate helps shape and grow partnerships that enable ambitious storytelling and maximise the reach of Open Planet’s work.
This spans Open Planet Studios' portfolio of award-winning impact films, immersive experiences and strategic campaigns — including landmark productions such as How to Live on Earth (launching in September), Ocean with David Attenborough (National Geographic and Disney+) and Our Story with David Attenborough (Natural History Museum) — as well as Open Planet's not-for-profit, open-access library, which empowers storytellers around the world with free, trusted, world-class footage and data visualisations of our changing planet.
Kate has more than 20 years’ experience in impact organisations, previously leading partnerships and philanthropy at NGOs including UNICEF UK, Save the Children and Macmillan Cancer Support. She has a degree in Ancient History from the University of Nottingham and an Executive MBA from the University of Cranfield.
