Biography

James is Head of the Built Environment programme at Laudes Foundation, where he supports transformation initiatives towards an inclusive, climate and nature positive industry. He co-founded and chairs Assemble – a global coalition of built environment donors – and led the launch of Built by Nature where he chairs the investment committee. He was previously Director of WorldGBC Europe where he co-founded the first ever Buildings Day at COP21 - the EU’s Level(s) sustainable buildings policy - and the EU's Energy Efficient Mortgages Initiative. He is a climate and environment lawyer with an MA from Cambridge University.
