The Twelve Brocades originate from the Taoist wellness tradition as a complete standing Daoyin practice, building on the classic Eight Brocades, or Ba Duan Jin, with four additional whole-body integration movements. Personally transmitted by a Taoist master, the session covers breathing technique, mental guidance, and precise movement detail as you work through all twelve forms in turn. The sequence progresses layer by layer — first separating, then integrating; first opening, then gathering — culminating in a full-body circulation of qi that harmonises the meridians and strengthens your root. No prior Daoyin or Qigong experience is required. Especially valuable for those already curious about traditional Chinese movement, and for anyone seeking a slower, more internally-focused alternative to yoga.
