Suraj Teja is the Founder & CEO of Sow & Reap, a climate-tech enterprise focused on developing and scaling high-impact solutions that address some of the most pressing challenges in climate change, industrial emissions, sustainable agriculture, and ecosystem restoration.
With a vision to make sustainability scalable, measurable, and commercially viable, Suraj leads Sow & Reap’s work across regenerative agriculture, bioenergy, carbon removals, nature-based solutions, and the decarbonization of hard-to-abate industries. A key area of focus is industrial decarbonization, where Sow & Reap is deploying innovative biomass-based gasification solutions to replace fossil fuels with renewable syngas, while simultaneously producing biochar that enables durable carbon removal and creates an additional climate-value stream. Suraj combines technology-led innovation, data transparency, and community-centric implementation to build high-integrity climate assets capable of delivering measurable environmental, social, and economic outcomes. His approach brings together digital MRV, carbon markets, clean energy technologies, sustainable feedstock ecosystems, and long-term industry partnerships to create solutions that can be replicated and scaled across geographies.
Under his leadership, Sow & Reap is building an integrated climate platform spanning regenerative agriculture, clean cooking, agroforestry, mangrove restoration, biochar, and industrial decarbonization—demonstrating how climate action can simultaneously create economic opportunity, strengthen rural livelihoods, restore ecosystems, and accelerate the transition of carbon-intensive industries toward a low-carbon future.
