Sue Toomey

Sue Toomey brings over two decades of leadership experience across Asia, where she has built businesses, led mission-driven organisations, and championed social change. As CEO of Asia Community Foundation, she leads efforts to unlock greater giving across the region by connecting donors with high impact nonprofits and creating opportunities for more informed, intentional philanthropy. She and ACF team help donors learn from one another, engage directly with frontline work, and contribute to collaborative funds tackling Asia’s most pressing issues. Sue’s career spans philanthropy, social impact, and global events—including leadership roles at Asia Philanthropy Circle, HandsOn Hong Kong, Points of Light, and The Economist. She has also launched a social enterprise in India and led brand marketing and event strategy in both the U.S. and Asia. Sue holds an M.A. in International Affairs from George Washington University and a B.A. in Journalism from the University of Southern California.
