Rueban Manokara

Rueban Manokara is the Global Lead of the Carbon Finance and Markets Taskforce, WWF and concurrently Director, Carbon Finance. He oversees the policy development and implementation efforts related to carbon finance within WWF’s network and leads flagship climate programmes run from Singapore. Rueban coordinated the development of Singapore’s carbon market policy and served as a Technical Advisory Body member of the Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation, the carbon reduction programme administered by the UN’s International Civil Aviation Organisation and in the National Climate Change Secretariat in the Strategy Group, Prime Minister’s Office, Singapore as Singapore’s lead negotiator for Article 6 at the UNFCCC. Rueban continues to play a role in shaping carbon market standards as a member of the Forest Stewardship Council’s Carbon Credit Working Group and the China Council for International Cooperation on Environment and Development (CCICED). Rueban has a Master of Law from the University of Oxford.
