Biography

Oyindamola Hussain is a Sovereign Debt Analyst and Stakeholder Engagement Coordinator at the Sustainable Sovereign Debt Hub with over 12 years of experience spanning sustainable finance, sovereign debt, investment management across global financial institutions and sustainability focused organisations.

Her work focuses on strengthening sovereign debt resilience and expanding access to sustainable financing solutions for emerging and frontier markets. She works with Debt Management Offices (DMO's), ministries of finance, multilateral development banks, credit rating agencies and institutional investors on debt management strategies, sustainable financing, investor engagement, transparency, and international capital market access. Her work also explores how domestic capital mobilisation, innovative financing instruments, and climate and nature aligned finance can strengthen fiscal resilience and deepen domestic capital markets.

Previously, at Standard Bank Group, Oyindamola managed fixed income investment portfolios and conducted sovereign debt and credit risk analysis across emerging markets, integrating macroeconomic, fiscal, and ESG considerations into investment strategies. She later joined the Emerging Markets Investors Alliance, where she led initiatives to embed climate, nature, and sustainability considerations into sovereign debt markets and engaged policymakers, asset managers, and multilateral institutions on sustainable sovereign finance. Oyindamola holds an MSc in Finance from University College London.
