Mei Lin is a marine ecologist based in Singapore. Her research interests include field studies of marine biodiversity, experimental ecology, mariculture of marine invertebrates, marine policy and marine conservation. She was also the co-lead of a regional marine database on the state of marine plastics research in ASEAN+3, and this work has been widely advocated in numerous working group meetings.
She considers herself a multi-hyphenate and dives into issues close to her heart including marine conservation, science communication, environmental advocacy, and motherhood in science. She believes in using her voice to amplify the important messages that people need to hear about.
