Lee Howell is Executive Director of the Villars Institute, a Swiss non-profit foundation advancing systems leadership and intergenerational collaboration for a Nature Positive and Net Zero economy. The Villars Institute also hosts the EAT Collaborative whose partners are putting the science and evidence generated by the EAT-Lancet Commissions into practical action to accelerate global food-system transformation.
Prior to this, Lee was Managing Director at the World Economic Forum (WEF) responsible for Global Programming and the Annual Meeting in Davos (2008 to 2021) and a board member of the EAT Foundation (2016 to 2026). Lee is currently the Vice Chair of the Board of Governors of the International Baccalaureate (IB) which has 2 million students in over 6000 schools in 160 countries following and is a Professor at the University of Geneva's School of Economics and Management where he teaches about disruptive technologies, global risks, and systems leadership.
