Biography

Lavanya Garg is Associate Director, India at Forum for the Future, where she co-leads Forum India on impact delivery and operations, strategic direction, and the culture, finances, and partnerships needed to deliver lasting impact. She believes durable change is built on trust, empathy, and a people-first focus, a conviction shaped by over a decade of building mission-driven organisations. She co-founded Asmat, a youth-run NGO connecting urban youth to rural India, and after a Masters in International and Development Economics at Yale, joined Good Business Lab as its first employee, scaling it into a global organisation that has impacted over 2 million blue-collar workers. She also co-founded Sustainable Style Speak, India's first sustainable fashion community. She serves on the Advisory Board of Fashion for Good's Future Forward Factories Initiative and has been engaged in the impact start-up ecosystem through UNLEASH, UN Women, and UNDP as a participant and mentor.
