John Stirling

John Stirling is the co-founder and driving force behind Arbikie Highland Estate Distillery, one of Scotland’s most innovative, field to bottle spirits producers.

John graduated from Aberdeen University with an Honours Degree in Politics and Economics and became a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants whilst training with KPMG in Dundee. He Is a graduate of the Goldman Sachs / Oxford University Entrepreneurial Business School.

Raised on the family farm in Scotland, John helped transform Arbikie from a multi‑generation agricultural enterprise into a globally recognised distillery celebrated for sustainability, provenance, and super‑premium craftsmanship. Under his leadership, Arbikie has pioneered world‑first spirits such as Nàdar—the planet’s first climate‑positive gin and vodka—and has expanded into international markets across Asia, Europe, and North America. John plays a central role in strategic development, global partnerships, and premium brand building. Arbikie has just launched its first 10-year-old Single Malt Scotch Whisky.

Known for his long‑term vision and commitment to regenerative farming, John continues to shape Arbikie’s evolution as a modern Scottish distillery rooted deeply in heritage, innovation, and environmental responsibility.
