James Ong

Dr. James Ong, with 4 decades in industry, venture, and academia, founded AIII in 2017 to advocate Sustainable AI for Humanity and co-authored “AI for Humanity” by Wiley and “人本人工智能” by 中国人民大学出版社. He champions AI as UN SDG 18, serves as expert at UNESCO/UNU, works with various UN organisations and advocates globally across Davos, ASEAN, China, India, the US, Middle East, and ANZ. He advises WAIC as international advisor, founded the AI for Humanity Forum, and co-founded AICON to advocate “AI for Everyone”. Academically, he is Adjunct Professor at SUTD, chairs SUSS's Master of AI advisory, lectures at top universities, and co-founded AI Leadership Union (AILU) with INSEAD. as academic partner. In industry, he is Industry Fellow and Head of AI at GFI, Senior Fellow at TCB, and serves on ACXOA's wisdom council. He is CEO of Origami Frontiers and Venture Partner at Delight Capital. He holds a PhD in AI for Computational Governance from UT Austin.
