Jad Daley

President · Terraformation
Biography

Jad Daley is a nationally recognised conservation leader dedicated to advancing intersectional forest solutions for climate change, biodiversity, and people. As President of Terraformation, he leads the company's mission to help restore native forests at planetary scale by overcoming the key barriers to successful reforestation, including seed supply, technical capacity, financing, and long-term project success.

Throughout his career, Daley has worked at the intersection of environmental policy, science, philanthropy, and public-private partnerships. Prior to joining Terraformation, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of American Forests, where he grew the organisation ten-fold and led ambitious initiatives to restore forest ecosystems, expand urban Tree Equity, and elevate forests as a central strategy for addressing climate change, biodiversity loss, and community resilience.

Daley has built a reputation for forging collaborations among governments, Indigenous and local communities, corporations, investors, and conservation organisations to accelerate the deployment of forest solutions. A frequent speaker, writer, and thought leader on forest restoration, conservation finance, and climate policy, he advocates for scaling high-integrity reforestation as both an environmental imperative and an economic opportunity. His work is driven by the conviction that restoring the world's forests is essential to creating a more resilient, prosperous, and sustainable future.
