Biography

Christopher Chuang founded the Beijing International Exchange Association Sustainable Development Committee (SDC) in 2005 and co-founded the Hanwang Forum with the Deyang municipal government in 2012-2014. The forum facilitates multi-stakeholder dialogues among government, business, and civil society to build disaster-resilient eco-communities. It has been recognized as a strategic partner by the UNDP and the EU, was designated as an official sub-forum of the Western China International Fair in 2015, and has since held annual international forums in Singapore, Malaysia, Europe, Africa, the Caribbean, and beyond. In 2015, he co-founded the Aurora Borealis Foundation in Svalbard with Bo Ekman, hosting high-level cultural and intellectual exchanges worldwide. Since 2016, he has actively promoted the Belt and Road Initiative in the Caribbean and Latin America, helping secure Caribbean representation at the first Belt and Road Forum in China. He was twice received by then-Prince Charles to discuss harmonious education. He also co-leads the research on "Love and Tao" in traditional Chinese culture with Professor David Cadman, advisor to the Guerrand-Hermès Foundation for Peace (GHFP). He is currently focused on advancing the establishment of an international organization on ecological civilization.

克里斯托弗·庄,北极光基金会联合创始人、联合主席。2005年创立北京国际交流协会可持续发展专业委员会;2012-2014年与德阳市政府共同创办“汉旺论坛”,推动国际政企民多方对话,并为防灾抗灾应急举措创新“生态社区”建设,被联合国计划开发署与欧盟确立为战略合作项目,2015年成为西博会官方子论坛;后续每年在新、马与欧、非、加勒比等地区举办国际论坛。2015年与博·艾克曼在斯瓦尔巴岛创立北极光基金会,开展探索未来的创新高端思想。2016年建议“一带一路”倡议应扩延到加勒比-拉美地区,并促成该地区唯一代表来华出席首届“一带一路”高峰论坛;曾两次受邀访问英国王储查尔斯,讨论和谐教育相关课题,并与格兰德-爱马仕和平基金会顾问大卫·卡德曼教授共同主持中华传统文化中“爱与道”的相关研究。目前正在筹备世界生态文明国际组织。
