Biography

Che Adlawan is an environmental practitioner specialising in marine and coastal management, with a focus on coral reef conservation and community-based resource management in the Philippines. A Manaaki New Zealand Scholar, Che pursued postgraduate studies in Environmental Management at Lincoln University. She currently leads rrreefs operations in the Philippines, serving as the local expert on sustainable livelihood development and social integration strategy. Che's work integrates science, policy, and community engagement to advance reef rehabilitation initiatives that are both ecologically effective and socially inclusive. Outside of work, Che enjoys tramping like a hobbit, SCUBA diving, and underwater macrophotography, using these experiences to support conservation storytelling.
