Charlotte de Jong

Charlotte de Jong is the Director of Business Development for Asia-Pacific at The Ocean Cleanup, where she leads the regional business development team, setting strategy and developing high-impact partnerships to scale river cleanup operations and accelerate the organisation's mission to eliminate plastic pollution. Her work spans Southeast Asia and the Pacific, including the Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Singapore, Australia, and Pacific Island nations, where she works with governments, corporates, philanthropic organisations, and academic institutions.

Combining her background in civil engineering and urban development, Charlotte brings a systems-level perspective to river cleanup, considering how interventions can be integrated into broader urban waste management systems.
