Cate Noble

Cate is co-founder and CEO of Better Purpose, a boutique consultancy which shapes and accelerates the work of organisations who seek to make a difference through education. She specialises in helping educational organisations to deliver on their purpose and promise.

She brings experience as an education leader, having previously been CEO of the Varkey Foundation and a Director at PwC, as well as senior education focused roles with not-for-profit, commercial, and government organisations. She has worked across a range of international contexts including Middle East, Latin America, South East Asia and Africa, with a particular focus on strategy, organisational leadership and development, and business transformation. She has acted as an advisor a range of philanthropic foundations, including Octava Foundation and =Dreams Asia, Gates, Jacobs, and Lego. She recently led a landscaping review for =Dreams Asia to assess opportunities for collective philanthropy in Timor Leste, and authored a White Paper on EdTech in South East Asia to inform Octava Foundation’s social innovation challenge.

She has also worked in partnership with governments in sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East and the UK to help them define and deliver on education policy goals, particularly focusing on school quality assurance, early childhood education and foundational learning.
