Calin Brown is a Programme Lead with the Global Accelerator for Earth Action (GAEA) at the World Economic Forum, where she works at the intersection of philanthropy, business and climate and nature action. Her work focuses on how catalytic actors can work together to overcome systemic barriers, mobilize different forms of capital and expertise, and accelerate solutions with the potential for wider impact.
Her career has spanned the World Economic Forum, the United Nations and international development, with experience across climate and nature, sustainable food systems, as well as impact measurement, knowledge management and organisational learning. Across these roles, she has focused on how organizations can move beyond individual interventions to build the partnerships, evidence and enabling conditions needed for lasting change.
Calin has a particular interest in translating ambitious ideas into practical models for collaboration, and in the role philanthropy and other catalytic actors can play in unlocking action across sectors. She holds master’s degrees in economics as well as sustainable food systems, and a bachelor’s degree in political science.
