Biography

Alex Tsai leads the Systemic Investing Field Mapping (SIFM) initiative at Omplexity, a consultancy that helps wealth holders and organizations catalyze systemic transformation toward a regenerative future through participatory systems mapping. Omplexity's clients include Edmond de Rothschild Systemic Regeneration, Google, UNDP, the Walton Family Foundation, and the World Economic Forum.

SIFM was launched in November 2025 with four anchor organizations: TransCap Initiative, TWIST, FEST, and Deep Transitions Lab. Its purpose is to accelerate and deepen systemic investing as a field by building the systems intelligence and relational infrastructure it needs next, so that capital can move from individual deals to systems change. The initiative convenes diverse stakeholder groups from the resource side and the change side, and provides systems intelligence and stewardship capacity across networks through systems mapping workshops and participatory research. At Omplexity, he also designs systems impact programs for wealth-holding families and next-generation leaders, guiding them to see where their impact work and capital can shift the structure of a system.

Before joining Omplexity, he worked in education ecosystem innovation worldwide, where he drove a university-wide transformation initiative and built credited Life Design programs that reached thousands of students and educators. He holds an MA in Educational Leadership and Policy from the University of Michigan. His work bridges inner development and outer transformation in service of regenerative systemic impact.
