Co-hosted by Margarita Louis-Dreyfus, Chair of the Louis Dreyfus Company and founder of the Human Change Foundation, together with TPC (Tsao Pao Chee) / NO.17 Foundation and the Family Business Network, this session poses two questions: What is the responsibility of businesses to steward this period of immense technological, economic and societal transition in a way that safeguards future generations? And what is the family business's specific role in unlocking a Well-being Economy, where the collective flourishing of families and societies is the operating measure — not individual immediate happiness, and not merely quarterly returns.
The rapid integration of digital technologies into daily life is reshaping children's mental, physical and social development, contributing to a rising mental health crisis, weakened critical thinking, diminished resilience and relational intelligence. Research increasingly shows Generation Z scoring lower on standardised cognitive tests than their parents — reversing a century-long trend. Combined with AI's impact on entry-level jobs, this represents a looming crisis for the next generation, affecting working parents, young employees and the future workforce alike.
Leaders of family businesses, who understand the connection between family, industry and society, have a unique role to play in the responsible stewardship of this transformational moment.
Note: This is a private, invite-only session.
