What if urban well-being was built not just through systems and services, but through relationships, trust, and a shift in mindset? The OCTAVE Social Transformation Project at Fengshan is a live experiment working with families in the bottom 5% of Singapore’s income distribution.
Grounded in the belief that transformation begins with people, not programmes, this workshop offers an inside look at how a relational approach, centred on empathy, respect, and human connection, is being used to break cycles of dependency and rebuild trust within communities.
Through real stories and first-year insights, participants will explore what it takes to build this model from the ground up, and what happens when trust begins to take root.
